WHAT ARE POSSIBLE USABILITY ISSUES WITH THE TESTING INSTRUMENTS IN HAEMATOLOGY, COAGULATION AND URINALYSIS?
I spent the summer of 2019 in Kobe, Japan, in the HQ of Sysmex Corp., a leading producer of in-vitro diagnostic instruments and reagents. Upon receiving a technical training in the three key core businesses of Sysmex (hematology, coagulation and urinalysis), I systematized my observations in a Usability evaluation report.
My method was a heuristic evaluation based on observation of the interfaces and their handling as well as interviews with Field Service Engineers regarding common issues.
I presented my findings to the Team leads which led to a lively discussion about stronger collaboration between teams for the future product development.
